TIBOR DEL GROSSO DOMINATES U23 CYCLOCROSS

Last season, Tibor Del Grosso made his mark by winning both the U23 Cyclocross World Championship and the Dutch U23 Road Championship. This year, he took his dominance to another level.

In the U23 World Cup, Del Grosso won all of his five races leading up to the World Championships, celebrating each victory with a unique quirky gesture. Along the way, he also showcased his talent in the Elite category by winning the Dutch National CX Championship.

Heading into the World Championships in Liévin, Del Grosso was the clear favorite to defend his U23 title. From the start, he took control, opening a six-second gap on the first muddy climb. The reigning champion extended his lead, eventually crossing the finish line a staggering 56 seconds ahead of the number two. True to form, he celebrated in style, proudly holding up the number one as he secured back-to-back world titles.

"It feels great and just as good as the first one," said Del Grosso.

With an incredible cyclocross season now behind him, the focus shifts to the road. Riding for Alpecin-Deceuninck, all eyes will be on Del Grosso to see what he can achieve next.
