SEG was founded in 2000 by childhood friends Kees Vos and Alex Kroes. Their passion for sports, combined with their unrivalled entrepreneurial talents, formed the basis of SEG’s success. Since its inception, SEG has seen steady and continuous growth.
In 2007, SEG merged with the football agency owned by Kees Ploegsma and his son Kees Jr. The merger was a necessary step to become bigger and stronger in order to face the growing competition. Kees Jr. still works at SEG to this day as a partner and one of our top agents.
In the same year, Martijn and Eelco Berkhout came on board and established the highly successful SEG Cycling division.
In 2018, SEG launched the Esports division, recognising the thriving competitive gaming industry's need for professional career guidance.
One year later, SEG entered the field of music and entertainment and set up SEG Artists.
In 2022, SEG formed a partnership with FlowSports, the largest Dutch management agency in women’s football, to take women’s football to the next level.
In 2024, SEG established its fifth division: Performance, consisting of Performance Lab and CyclingLab. SEG athletes can visit these facilities to monitor and improve their performance.
