SEG negotiates Rasmus Højlund’s top transfer to Manchester United

Amsterdam - Forward Rasmus Højlund will continue his football career at Manchester United. After extensive negotiations, with the expert support of SEG, the twenty-year-old Danish player today signed a five-season agreement plus an optional one-year extension.

The move to Manchester United marks SEG's first major assignment for Rasmus, who joined the international management agency only recently. SEG represented both Rasmus and Manchester United for this transfer. SEG board member and founder Kees Vos conducted the negotiations between player and club. In the final week SEG's legal experts joined in to draw up the contracts.

Rasmus choosing SEG was the result of a thorough search by Rasmus and his parents for the best talent management agency to handle his business interests. After a careful and lengthy selection process considering more than thirty agencies, SEG ultimately came out best.

Kees Vos: "We are incredibly proud that Rasmus has chosen SEG. He is immensely talented, down-to-earth and intelligent. His parents are very supportive and guide their son throughout his career. They were also closely involved in this transfer. The negotiation process with both clubs wasn’t always easy, but we are delighted to have achieved such a great outcome together."

Anders Højlund and Kirsten Winther, Rasmus's parents: "The choice of SEG was a deliberate one. SEG has the network and the experience to guide Rasmus to the absolute top. The transfer to Manchester United comes at the perfect time, and it is the right step for his career."

Rasmus played for Atalanta Bergamo since the summer of 2022, where he had a contract until mid-2027. His impressive performances at the Italian Serie A club put him high on the wish list of many European top teams, with Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United coming out on top.

Rasmus: "It is no secret that I have been a fan of this great club since I was a small boy, and I dreamed of walking out at Old Trafford as a Manchester United player. Once I had spoken to Erik ten Hag, I knew that this environment would be perfect for my development. I am thankful to SEG that they have helped me to fulfill my dream.
