MEMORABLE DEBUTS IN THE TOUR

The Tour de France is in full swing with a record number of twenty SEG riders. Eight of them are making their debut in the biggest race of the year: Daan Hoole, Olav Kooij, Baptiste Veistroffer, Marco Frigo, Julius van den Berg, Milan Fretin, Rick Pluimers and Alex Molenaar.

Alex Molenaar quickly proved to be one to watch, claiming the iconic polka dot jersey on stage 2. Sadly, Alex was forced to abandon the race following a crash on stage 5.

Olav Kooij won that same fifth stage in style. The 24-year-old rider who moved to Decathlon CMA CGM last season proved the fastest in the bunch sprint. Olav's stage victory was the reward for a lot of hard work. How special to see it all come together on his Tour debut!
