Hannah Barnes joins SEG Cycling's Women's Department

British rider Hannah Barnes, who recently retired from the peloton, will continue her career at SEG Cycling. With the ongoing growth and professionalisation of women’s cycling, Hannah's role at SEG will be to ensure that the interests of women riders are well represented at all times. She will also have an important role in the development of women's cycling at SEG.

Hannah (30) raced for UCI women’s teams for more than a decade, amassing a total of 12 victories. In August 2023, she announced her retirement as a professional rider. During her career Hannah accumulated a wealth of experience and built an extensive network in professional women's cycling. She enjoys immense respect among her colleagues and cycling teams, and is a source of inspiration for aspiring talents.

SEG Cycling has been active in professional cycling for nearly 20 years and is now the leading talent agency in men's professional cycling, representing clients from many different countries and at all pro levels.

SEG Cycling director Eelco Berkhout: “Women’s cycling has evolved tremendously over the past few years. We see a rapid growth in the number of races and in media attention. In recent years, SEG Cycling has taken its first steps in women’s cycling. With Hannah bringing in her experience, knowledge and network, we will be able to take our activities in women's cycling to the next level.”

Hannah Barnes: “SEG is an established sports agency with a large men’s division and an expanding women’s division, so to be given the opportunity to come into the agency, especially at a time when women’s cycling is in such a positive place, is very exciting.”
