Former PSV Director of Football John de Jong joins SEG

Having served for 22 years as a player, chief scout and Director of Football at PSV, John (46) has built an expansive network and accumulated a wealth of expertise over the years, both of which are of tremendous benefit to SEG.

John has seen all facets of the game on and off the pitch. He has collaborated with young talents and seasoned internationals alike and has engaged with agencies, clubs and football associations. 

John de Jong: “I am starting to find my groove at SEG. I’m getting familiarised with the way of working here and gradually get to know everyone. I hope to be of value this summer not only in the dealmaking process of key player transfers, but also in specific projects I’m currently working on.” 

SEG board member Kees Ploegsma has known John for many years through his various roles at PSV: “John is a top professional with abundant experience and a large international network. I have always enjoyed working with him. It is great that we are now working together as colleagues.”
