Pauline Ferrand-Prévot joins SEG Cycling, contemplates return to road racing

Exciting times lie ahead for 12-time Elite World Champion Pauline Ferrand-Prévot. The multi-talented French rider is focusing all of her attention on the off-road disciplines these days, with the Paris Olympics as her big goal for next summer. For 2025, Pauline is contemplating a return to road racing.

In order to create the best circumstances for this switch, Pauline recently joined SEG Cycling. “Pauline is one of the most talented riders of all time”, says SEG Cycling Director Eelco Berkhout. “It will be our task to support her ambitions, create new opportunities and ensure a stable environment around her.”

SEG Cycling has a women’s roster with Kristen Faulkner as one of the big names. The agency recently acquired former rider Hannah Barnes to work on the further development of women's cycling at SEG.

After having won almost everything there is to win in cycling, Pauline Ferrand-Prévot has set her mind on participating in the third edition of the Tour de France Femmes in 2025, which is of course to be held in her home country.

There is one small obstacle to overcome: Pauline’s team Ineos Grenadiers do not have a women’s road cycling team at this time. “Ineos Grenadiers certainly have the ambition and the capacity to build a women’s team”, says Berkhout. “If you are as big as Ineos, it shouldn’t be too difficult to set one up.”

“Pauline and SEG Cycling are willing to give Ineos the time to get things organised. In the meantime, we need to keep all options open. Many big teams will be interested in Pauline. She wants a team that will give her long-term commitment so that she can transition back to the road in her own pace and build a stable project. Together, we are going to pave the way for her to achieve her ambition.”
