Greek sensation Stefanos Tzimas is moving to the Premier League. This week, the talented striker signed a contract with Brighton & Hove Albion that runs until June 2030.
The Greece under-21 international is widely regarded as one of the most promising forwards of his generation and has been attracting significant interest from clubs across Europe.
Stefanos, who turned 19 last month, comes from Bundesliga 2 side FC Nürnberg, where he flourished and scored ten goals in seventeen league matches so far this season. He joined Nürnberg from PAOK Saloniki last summer on loan, in a move that included an option to buy. Nürnberg activated that option recently, ahead of Stefanos’ move to Albion. Stefanos will remain on loan with FC Nürnberg for the second half of this season before joining his new teammates in Brighton next summer.
Tassos Papadopoulos and Carl Thomas were among the SEG agents involved in the transfer. Tassos Papadopoulos said: “Stefanos is an exceptional talent from a wonderful family. On top of being one of the most gifted young footballers in the world, he is a well-balanced individual with a strong character. There was significant interest in Stefanos from multiple clubs, and he handled the pressure admirably—showing patience and focusing solely on his development as a player. We will continue to support him as he develops further to reach the highest level in football.”
Carl Thomas said: “When Brighton emerged as the best option for Stefanos, we met with PAOK and Nürnberg to discuss the terms. Dealmaking is often a long and complex process, so we were happy to receive praise from Brighton, PAOK and Nürnberg for our professionalism and transparency. Overall, it was a great collaboration between the three clubs, the player and SEG to bring this transfer over the line.”
