SPURS WELCOME CAITLIN DIJKSTRA

SEG FLOWSPORTS founder Leoni Blokhuis said: "Caitlin had been at VfL Wolfsburg since the summer of 2023 and felt it was time to take the next step in her career. There was plenty of interest in Caitlin. She gave us several club preferences, and we got to work with those. In the end, she chose Tottenham Hotspur. The talks were very positive right from the start, which led to a contract that all parties are happy with. Caitlin has outstanding defensive qualities, and I'm sure she'll be a great #4 in North London."

Caitlin’s football career picked up pace when she joined AFC Ajax in 2018 as a 20-year-old. Her debut came in the UEFA Women’s Champions League, and she then went on to make 15 appearances in total in her maiden season at senior level, which ended in silverware as she helped her side to KNVB Women’s Cup.

She spent a further two seasons in Amsterdam, winning the Eredivisie Cup in 2020/21, before joining FC Twente in April 2021. She helped them to the Eredivisie and Eredivisie Cup double in 2021/22 and added the Eredivisie Cup, KNVB Beker Women’s Cup and KNVB Super Cup the following campaign.

Caitlin then signed for German outfit VfL Wolfsburg in June 2023, but spent the season on loan back at FC Twente, winning the Dutch league title for the second time. Returning to Germany ahead of the 2024/25 campaign and overcoming a spell on the sidelines with injury, she made her debut for the She-Wolves in December 2024 and went on to make 46 appearances in all competitions, including 11 in the Champions League, before moving to England this summer.
