SEG moves success coach Matthias Jaissle from Al-Ahli to Newcastle United

Widely recognised as one of Europe's leading young coaches, Matthias joins the club following remarkable success at both Red Bull Salzburg and Al-Ahli. Appointed at Salzburg at the age of just 33, he won a domestic double in his first season and led the club into the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League for the first time in its history.

At Al-Ahli he swiftly turned the side into one of the leading teams in Asia, securing qualification for the AFC Champions League in his opening season. He departs having delivered back-to-back AFC Champions League titles, becoming the first coach to achieve the feat.
