Borna Sosa to Torino FC on loan

Ajax, Borna Sosa and Torino FC have reached an agreement on the loan of Sosa to the Italian club. The loan is effective immediately and will run for the duration of the season, until 30 June 2025. The agreement includes an option to buy. The 26-year-old player is under contract with Ajax until 30 June 2028.
The Croatian international made the switch from VfB Stuttgart to Ajax at the start of last season. He made his debut for the Amsterdam side on 17 September 2023. So far, the defender has made 25 appearances for Ajax's first team.
SEG agent Peter de Waal said: "Torino plays in a system that suits Borna perfectly. He feels right at home in a 3-5-2 formation, where he plays as the leftmost midfielder. On that left flank, Borna is at his best. He loves to push forward and has a pinpoint cross-pass in his locker.”
He continued: “We all know that the situation for Borna at Ajax was not ideal. Next season, he will be playing in Serie A, one of the top five leagues in Europe. That's why this is a great move for him. He’s very happy with it. It would be fantastic if Torino exercises the option to buy.”
