Quincy Promes has signed a five-year contract with Sevilla, joining the Spanish club from Spartak Moscow. The Dutch forward had long established himself as a top performer in the Russian league, attracting interest from different teams around Europe.

Promes was elected Player of the Year in Russia in 2017, scoring 12 goals and assisting his teammates 9 times on the way to a Russian title that had eluded Spartak since 2001.

Last season, he also showcased his talent against his new team during the Champions League group stage, with a brace in Spartak’s 5-1 demolition of Sevilla.
