SEG ESPORTS IS EXPANDING INTO FORTNITE FAST

SEG Esports is taking giant steps to gain a strong position in Fortnite. With the addition of British esports agent Arya Moodaley, SEG has instantly become a powerhouse agency within the Fortnite ecosystem.

Arya will bring in his current clients. This means that together with SEG agent Hennes Heijmans and his clients, SEG Esports now represents 27 of the world’s best professional Fortnite players, with a combined seven million followers on their socials.

Originally, Fortnite was only available as a battle royale style game in which up to 100 players fight to the last person standing. Recently, several 4v4 game modes have been introduced. These new formats – along with other modifications – make the game much more suitable for large-scale competitions and tournaments. Also, it allows esports organisations to have more control and structure when it comes to team composition, training and strategy.

The biggest news last month was that Fortnite will be a key title at the Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia, next July. This year’s EWC boasts the largest prize pool in esports history.

SEG Esports director Rowan Stroo: “There’s so much happening in Fortnite right now. New formats being introduced, teams getting better organised, more events, a growing fanbase, better compensation for players. All these developments make it very interesting for SEG to get in on the ground floor of the Fortnite phenomenon. With Hennes, Arya and their clients SEG Esports is ready and eager to participate.”

Arya Moodaley: “All my clients play Fortnite professionally and create content. They’re top players in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and North America. SEG is entering Fortnite at a perfect moment. The game is becoming better in every aspect and it will continue to develop. In the future, SEG Esports is going to capitalise on the fact that we are now building a strong brand presence. I’m excited to find out how far we can take this.”
