John de Jong starts a new chapter in his career by joining SEG as of 1 February. In his new role at SEG, he will leverage his experience to advise on player transfers alongside a range of other activities. Having served for 22 years as a player, chief scout and Director of Football at PSV Eindhoven, John (46) has built an expansive network and accumulated a wealth of expertise over the years, both of which will be of tremendous benefit to SEG.
John has seen all facets of the game on and off the pitch. He has collaborated with young talents and seasoned internationals alike and has engaged with agencies, clubs and football associations. He is respected by all who know him and those who have conducted business with him.
SEG board member Kees Ploegsma: “John is a top professional with abundant experience and a large international network. It was a special opportunity for SEG to add him to our organisation. I have known John for many years through his various roles at PSV and I have always enjoyed working with him. I am both pleased and proud that he has chosen SEG and I eagerly anticipate our continued collaboration, now as colleagues.”
John de Jong: “With my fifteen years of experience in the player market, I am looking forward to not only guiding players to the top of their careers but also providing advice on the transfers of key players. I immediately had a good feeling during my conversations with Kees Ploegsma and Kees Vos. SEG is an international industry leader and I am excited to get started.”
